Tree Lottery and Champion Tree Contest
West Towson Loves Newly Planted and Mature Trees
Win a FREE TREE in the WTNA lottery and/or Be recognized for your champion tree
Trees increase our property values, cool our homes and reduce electricity costs, buffer street noise, clean the air, store carbon dioxide, uptake storm water, and promote a healthy and active neighborhood!
Blue Water Baltimore (BWB), an environmental non-profit organization, was able to renew their grant to subsidize native trees to local neighborhoods. Homeowners and local businesses contribute $75 for yard trees, and $125-$150 for street trees. Planting, staking and mulching is done by BWB volunteers in the fall. Homeowners water the trees regularly for the first 2-3 summers. Visit the BWB website to see the trees offered for 2024.
Win a free BWB Tree! The WTNA is giving away FIVE FREE Trees to those placing BWB orders by August 31, 2024 and will determine winners in a lottery. All West Towson orders will be automatically entered. Winners will be notified in early September and reimbursed for their tree by the WTNA. Schedule your free tree consultation today by emailing trees4westtowson@gmail.com, and place your order now!
Do you have a neighborhood champion tree? The WTNA would like to recognize the largest native tree in our neighborhood. Email trees4westtowson@gmail.com the circumference of your tree four feet from the ground (or all the circumferences from a multi- trunked tree) if you think your tree could be the winner! Please email us with questions.
