Adorable Children Run Wild in West Towson
Ok, ok. That’s a bit of a clickbait headline, but we stand by the sentiment. Our 2024 Egg Hunt was a wild success. It brought together children and adults from across the community to enjoy the crisp Spring weather and enjoy our local jewel: the Dinosaur Park. In what seems like an annual tradition, we moved the event due to whether, but were lucky that the new time didn’t depress attendance or spirits.
Volunteerism and neighborhood contributions are the lifeblood this and all of our events. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the neighbors who dropped off filled eggs, came early to help set up, help hold back the hoards of children, and help clean up. We appreciate our longstanding partnership with the local Corinthians Lodge who not only support this event financially, but showed up in force to help set up and conduct the event.
A special thank you goes to WTNA Board Member Megan Aylesworth who has spearheaded this event for the past three years. She introduced a few innovations this year including:
starting the egg hunt in the newly repaved multiuse court
moving the toddler hunt to a more contained area
rolling out more prize eggs
holding a raffle for stylish West Towson travel mugs
collecting empty eggs to re-use next year
All this led to smoother experience for all. Please shoot us a note at westtowson@gmail.com if you have suggestions to further improve the Egg Hunt. Most of all, we are fortunate to have the neighbors that fuel such a strong turnout.
