Native Tree Replenishment Project for West Towson and Southland Hills
The Native Tree Replenishment Project is a partnership between the West Towson and Southland Hills neighborhoods and Blue Water Baltimore (BWB), an environmental non-profit organization. The purpose is to replenish the large shade trees that have been lost in the neighborhood.
BWB has received grant money to provide trees at a low cost. Homeowners contribute $75 for yard trees, and $125-$150 for street trees. Planting, staking and mulching is done by BWB volunteers in the fall. Homeowners just need to water the trees regularly for the first 2-3 summers.
