We’re losing to Southland Hills
Did you know that in 2025 Southland Hills had almost double the participation rate for dues payments. It’s hard to believe, but only ~25% of West Towson households contribute to dues while over 50% of Southland Hills residents do. This is despite that they have higher dues payments. We haven’t raised the dues in at least 6 years even though a dollar then went 25% further.
How can you help?
First, set up a recurring dues payment by Valentine’s day if you don’t have one already. All new recurring dues payments will be entered in a West Towson travel mug raffle.
Once that’s done, broadcast to your closest neighbors that your recurring dues payment firmly cements you as a pillar of the West Towson community. Afterall you make the joy of the Egg Hunt and magic of Santa on a Firetruck possible for neighborhood children. Remind them of your superiority every chance you get until they also set up a recurring dues payment. Tell them that with 2 minutes of effort they too could win a stylish West Towson travel mug.
Why is this important?
Dues are on an honor system and we like this. We believe in keeping dues low, ensuring open access to our events, and running a close to breakeven budget. Strong neighborhood support ensures that we:
can invest in popular events like the block party without cutting other events
can maintain our aging neighborhood signage which boosts property values and establishes our identity
don’t bombard our neighbors with ads
Please help us beat Southland Hills.
