Deadline Extended: Native Garden Contest
Calling All Green Thumbs! Join the Native Garden Contest and Unleash Your Creativity!
Are you passionate about gardening? Do you have a knack for designing beautiful outdoor spaces that promote biodiversity? Well, we have some exciting news for you! The Green Towson Alliance launched a Native Garden Contest and has extended the deadline to enter to July 10th! It's a fantastic opportunity for all gardening enthusiasts to showcase their talent and contribute to the conservation of our local ecosystem. So, whether you're a novice or an experienced gardener, we invite you to represent West Towson.
How to Participate?
To participate in the contest, simply visit Green Towson Alliance contest page. Here, you will find all the information you need to know about the contest, including the guidelines, rules, and submission process. The contest is open to any gardener who lives in a Towson neighborhood, and incorporates native plants, trees and shrubs in their yard. An entry can be a specific garden bed, or the whole yard. If you have a rain garden designed to reduce lawn runoff, or a garden that features mature or recently planted native trees, we encourage you to also enter the contest.
Why Join the Contest?
Apart from neighborhood bragging rights, there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs. The top three winners will receive gift certificates to local nurseries, allowing you to expand your plant collection and continue your green journey. Additionally, all participants will be recognized for their efforts at our annual community gathering, where they will have the opportunity to share their experience and inspire others to embrace native gardening.
Happy gardening!
