Shaping West Towson: what sticks out so far
This summer the West Towson Neighborhood Association launched the Neighborhood Pulse Survey to provide residents a way to voice their opinions and shape the future of their neighborhood. The Board thought it was critical to hear directly from as many residents as possible, rather than make assumptions about what residents wanted from the board. We heard from over 200 residents which reflect great representation from across West Towson.

Expanding West Towson’s Green Canopy
Jon Gorman, a West Towson Neighborhood Association Board member and Chair of the Greening Committee, has been working hard to share his progress in responding to residents' desire for more trees. This has not been a solo effort of course, but he has been central in bringing together local government, Blue Water Baltimore volunteers, and neighborhood residents on this project.

What a Summer
Summer in West Towson slows down a bit as the school buses become scarce and neighbors slip off to their vacations. However, there was still plenty going on around the neighborhood. Here are some highlights of several great activities taking place in and around our neighborhood.

Pickleball anyone?
You may have noticed construction at the Dinosaur Park over the past few weeks. We are happy to announce that the combination pickleball / basketball courts at the Dinosaur Park are being resurfaced. Anyone who has been near the Dinosaur Park recently has noticed the skyrocketing popularity of these courts for pickleball. This pickleball traffic is in addition to the court’s popularity for basketball, tag, and other games.

It was a great day for bargain hunting
On August 26th, West Towson came alive with a vibrant burst of community spirit as residents gathered for a memorable day of sales. Organized by the West Towson Neighborhood Association, the event brought together neighbors, friends, and visitors from near and far for a day of treasure hunting, laughter, and camaraderie.
